Keeping a gratitude journal helps me focus on and appreciate all that I have. It's a great antidote to the little frustrations of the day. I love how the eco-challenge gives me an annual reminder of the value of making time for these practices.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

It absolutely does. What a difference when I spend even 10 minutes outside breathing the air, listening, and observing nature.
